Mr Narend Singh was appointed as Deputy Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment from from 3 July 2024.

He is a Member of the National Assembly representing the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP). With a longstanding career in public service, Mr Singh has been an influential figure in South African politics, particularly known for his advocacy on social and economic issues.

His comprehensive educational background is complemented by extensive experience in both the public and private sectors.
